The LG G5, the First Modular Phone

Its about time a phone company released a modular phone.  There have been many different phone cases with this functionality, however up until recently, no phone has done the same thing.  The first talk of modular phones came from Google's project Ara, however the LG G5 is the only phone to really have these modular capabilities.
I got my hands on a G5 a couple of days ago and I haven't gotten a chance to try out the mods.  However here some of them anyway:

  • LG Cam Plus-  Gives your phone the feel of a regular camera.  This attachment allows you to have a zoom on the side as well as a shutter release and some other functionalities.
  • LG Hi-Fi Plus-  Improves audio playback quality.  It changes the playback from 24-bits to 32-bits.
The G5 features a removable battery, which some companies are gradually getting rid of.  Some people might wonder why a removable battery might be useful.  Well, in this case it is used for quicker charging.  Apparently, the quickest way to charge a phone is with the battery out of the phone. The phone also features a USB-type C which allows the phone to use quick charging, developed by Qualcomm.  As well as a fingerprint sensor.  The G5 is running Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

So why should you get the LG G5?  I think that the modular functions are pretty cool and it has some really original elements to it.  It's a really cool phone by LG and it is just really unique.
