Amazon Releases New Echo Dot 2nd Gen

                                  
                        Amazon has surprised us time and time again, however this time the price tag is a bit different.

                          The Amazon Echo Dot 2nd Generation is a little different when it comes to the look and feel.  The previous Echo Dot featured a 1.5" Height and a Diameter of 3.3" The volume ring has been replaced with two buttons on the top and a new color has been added: White. This model has a glossy like finish that the previous model did not have.  Now why would someone want to buy this? First off you can us it for quite a lot of things from getting an Uber to ordering dominoes.  The echo dot, unlike its counter part, the Amazon echo, It doesn't have a powerful speaker.

                          The Dot is simple the top 1.3" of Amazon echo sliced off.  Now to the interesting part.  This version of the Echo Dot comes at a retail price of $49.99!!!!!!!!!!! Which I though was pretty cool since I am a cheapskate.  The Echo Dot will be shipped out on October 20.  If you already own an Echo Dot then you get a $10 Alexa Credit when you purchase the 2nd Generation Model.

                   Google is a very interesting company.  They started out with a Search engine.  Then they started to do phones, routers, chrome casts, etc.  Google has said that they are going to e releasing Google Home later this year.                    Google Home is no different.  Google has been rumored to build a smart home hub, like the Amazon Echo, but not until recently google has officially announced Google Home .  Google home is a device like The Amazon Echo but instead of the wake word "Alexa" google will be using "Ok Google" just like google now.  There are lots of different devices that function like the Echo and Google Home.  Siri is one of them.  Siri isn't the best but it is good for changing the song.  Google hasn't given us much detail on the Google home but I will be sue to Post once it is released.
